1. A student can compete in only one International
Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)-affiliated
Regional Fair.
2. Exhibit work must have been completed within the year prior to the Fair.
The exhibit must be the ORIGINAL work of the student. Be
aware of copyright laws. [Copyright.iupui.edu or Copyright.gov]
Teachers,
parents, and others can only advise.
3. REQUIRED FORMS:
MASRF-S1 (Online registration form) OR,
MASRF-S2 (Mail registration form). NOT BOTH.

be submitted by the registration
deadline to MASRF Fair and a copy must be
brought with the exhibit at Exhibit Check-In.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED FORMS:
Grades K-8 - Grades K-8 may use the
MASRF-S3 form for certain types of
exhibits ONLY. A signed copy of this form
must be brought with the exhibit at Exhibit
Check-In.

these signed forms must be brought with the exhibit at Exhibit Check-In.
All Grades - If the exhibit is being entered by the Teacher, the MASRF-T2
form must be filled out and in included with the other forms. If the exhibit
is being entered by a parent or guardian this form is not required.

4. A student must agree to the Intel ISEF Ethics Statement: Scientific fraud
and misconduct are not condoned at any level of research or competition.
Plagiarism, use or presentation of other researcher's works as one's own,
and fabrication or falsification of data will not be tolerated. Fraudulent
projects will fail to qualify for competition in the Mastodon Art/Science
Regional Fair or Intel ISEF.
5. Exhibits must adhere to all Federal, State, Local laws, and Host institution
regulations.
MASRF reserves the right to remove from
display any exhibit that does not adhere
to the aforementioned laws and regulations.
Removal of the exhibit will result in disqualification.
6. Exhibits must adhere to the Science Safety
Rules and Guidelines.
(a) MASRF, at the discretion of the Science
Director(s) and the Scientific Review/ISB
committee, reserves the right to remove from
the exhibit any items that do not adhere
to the aforementioned rules and guidelines.
(b) MASRF reserves the right to remove from
display any exhibit that does not adhere
to the aforementioned rules and guidelines.
Removal of the exhibit will result in disqualification.
The decision of the Science Director(s) is
final.
7. EXHIBIT DIVISIONS
Students may enter their ORIGINAL exhibit
in one of the following divisions.
K-2 Class: A Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade
student may enter as a member of a class
exhibit.
Maximum: 35 students. On Registration/entry form, enter the name of the teacher
and grade level on 'Student 1' space. (Example: Ms. Smith, First Grade).
Attach a list of individual students names to the registration form.
Grades K-8: A student may enter one Individual
or one Group exhibit.
A maximum of three students in a group.
Discovery Young Scientist Challenge - A
special competition open to all students
grades 5-8.
Students in these grades are automatically eligible for this competition. Check
out this contest
at www.Discovery.com or through a link from www.masrf.com.
Grades 9-12: A student may enter only one
Individual exhibit.
Intel International Science and Engineering
Fair - A special competition open to all
students
in grades 9 -12. Students in these grades
are automatically eligible for ISEF. Check
out this
contest at www.societyforscience.org or through a link
from www.masrf.com.
8. EXHIBIT SIZE
Grades K-8: Standard size exhibit - Exhibit
not to exceed 65 cm (25") in width,
60 cm (2')
in depth, and 120 cm (4') in height. (Commercially
purchased exhibit boards usually correspond
to these dimensions). Electricity is NOT
available.
Grades 9-12: Select either standard size
exhibit or ISEF size exhibit. (It is recommended
that
serious contenders for ISEF use the ISEF
size exhibit). Standard size exhibit - Exhibit
not to exceed 65 cm (25") in width,
60 cm (2') in depth, and 120 cm (4') in height.
ISEF size exhibit - Exhibit not to exceed
122 cm (4') in width, 76 cm (30") in
depth, and 274 cm (108") in height.
Electricity is only available for Intel-ISEF
finalists during the interviews.
9. EXHIBIT CATEGORIES
Please use great care in selecting the
proper category. The category you select
on the registration/entry form is the category
in which the project will be judged. Changes
in category will not be permitted after submission
of the registration/entry form. View the

10. Exhibits should not be identifiable
to the public and judges by either student,
teacher or school name. Any information or
symbols from a previous competition must
be removed from the exhibit.
