March 15-20, 2011

Dec. 1, 2010: Sci. Gr. 9-12 Project Paperwork Due at Fair Office.

January 2: Online entry opens www.MastodonFair.org (Free Online!)

January 15: Certificate Contest Entries Due at Fair Office.

February 4: Certificate Contest Entries Due at Fair Office.

February 4: If not done online, paper entry forms are due with payment of $5 each.

February 28: Online entry closes at 11:59 PM

March 1: Digital Art Projects Due! Send DVD to Fair Office.


Saturday to Monday, March 12-14

  • Administrative Set-up – Volunteers needed from 9 AM – 4 PM

Tuesday, March 15    9 AM – 7 PM

  • Project Check-In and Placement – 9 AM – 7 PM (No late entries accepted.)
  • Project viewing and open to the public (Free!) – 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Fair Store is open: 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Art Scholarship Portfolios due: 7 PM at the Field House

Wednesday, March 16

  • Closed to Public
  • Judging: 1 PM – 8 PM (Closed to public during judging.)

Thursday, March 17

  • Closed To the Public

Friday, March 18    5 PM – 9 PM

  • Project viewing and open to the public (Free!): 9 AM – 8 PM
  • Fair Store is open: 9 AM – 9 PM
  • Dinosaur Egg Hunt: 5 PM – 7:30 PM ($5, Get 3 eggs and every egg is a winner with a prize valued at $3 or more.) All Ages, Toddler through Adult hunt together!
  • Mastodon Premier – Students stand by projects and are judged by Sponsors: 5 PM – 8 PM. Event sponsored by Twin City Community Chest.
  • ASK Rooms (Hands on activities that connect Art & Science) 5 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Sponsor Recognition Ceremony: 7:30 PM – 8 PM. (Students must be present to win Sponsor’s Choice Award.)
  • Project Check-out and removal: 8 PM – 9 PM

Saturday, March 19    10 AM – 4 PM

  • Project Check-out and removal: 10 AM – Noon. Leftover projects will be in the Field House Lobby until Monday March 21st at 5 pm and then discarded.
  • Fair Store is open: 10 AM – Noon
  • Art Scholarship Interviews and Judging: 10 AM – Noon
  • ISEF Finalist Interviews: 1 PM – 3 PM
  • Fair Break Down – Volunteers REALLY needed: 10 AM – 4 PM

Student Award Ceremony, 1PM -3PM
ALL participants/teachers walk in opening ceremony and receive a special medallion!
