Dec. 1, 2009: Sci. project paperwork, gr. 9-12, is due: PO Box 54, Crystal City, MO 63019

January 2: Online entry opens www.MastodonFair.org (Free Online!)

January 15: T-Shirt Contest Entries Due at PO, Box 54, Crystal City, MO 63019

February 4: If not done online, paper entry forms are due with payment of $5 each.

February 11: Online entry closes at 11:59 PM


Saturday to Monday, March 13-15

  • Administrative Set-up – Volunteers needed from 9 AM – 4 PM

Tuesday, March 16

  • Project Check-In and Placement – 9 AM – 8 PM (No late entries accepted.)
  • Art Scholarship Portfolios – due by 8 PM at the Field House
  • Field Trips, ASK Rooms, and the Dino Den*– 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Project viewing and open to the public (Free!) – 9 AM – 8 PM

Wednesday, March 17

  • Field Trips, ASK Rooms, and the Dino Den* – 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Project viewing and open to the public (Free) – 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Judging – 1 PM – 8 PM (Closed to public during judging.)
  • Art Scholarship Interviews and Judging – 6–8 pm

Thursday, March 18

  • Closed To the Public

Friday, March 19

  • Field Trips, ASK Rooms, and the Dino Den* – 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Project viewing and open to the public (Free) – 9 AM – 8 PM
  • Mastodon Premier – Students stand by projects – 5 PM – 8 PM.
  • Sponsor Recognition Ceremony – 7:30 PM – 8 PM. (Students must be present to win Sponsor’s Choice Award.)

Saturday, March 20 Family Day!

  • ASK Rooms* 10 AM – 3 PM (Free)
  • Special, One Day Only Events 10 AM – 3 PM (Free or Low Cost )
  • Expanded Dino Den* 10 AM – 3 PM (Low Cost)
  • Dinosaur Egg Hunt 10 AM – 3 PM (Low Cost) Toddler to adult hunt together.
  • Project viewing and open to the public (Free) – 10 AM – 3 PM
  • Project removal – 3 PM – 6 PM. Leftover projects will be prepared for trash pick-up in the Field House Lobby
  • ISEF Finalist Interviews – 4 PM – 6 PM

Sunday, March 21

  • Fair Break Down – Volunteers REALLY needed 10 AM – 5 PM

Student Awards Ceremony
ALL participants/teachers walk in opening ceremony and receive a special medallion!

*ASK Rooms (Art + Science = Kinetic Energy) 30 minute, hands on workshops for all ages. Dino Den activities are dinosaur-related experiences such as: archeology, authentic dinosaur egg/fossils, and/or paper crafts - Education and Fun!
