The Mastodon Fair started in conjunction with a fundraiser for the Mastodon State Historic Site back in 1979.  Since then, the Mastodon Fair has become it's own non-profit organization with separate funding from the Park, 100% from donations.  We receive no funding from the Historic site, taxes or the government but work with the Historic Site in various ways throughout the year.

One of the joint projects is where the students whose projects were selected as a gallery winner at the Mastodon State Historic Site are displayed from March 25th to May 1st.  Please visit the museum at the Historic Site <link "Historic Site" to http://www.mostateparks.com/mastodon.htm> to see your project on display.  Make it a family outing by packing a picnic and enjoying the many trails and playgrounds!
