Online Registration Tips for Teachers
In response to many of your requests we have made the following
improvements to the Online Registration process to make it
more user friendly and convenient. Click
here to Download a PDF with detailed Online Registration Instructions.
-
When
you first go to register online you will asked to enter your
email address as your User ID and be given
a password. This
will enable you to log in at any time between Jan. 2 and Feb. 5 where
you can see all of your entries, add new entries, edit or
delete
entries, etc.
-
You now have the option of printing entry
forms, Exhibit ID labels, or both for all of your entries
or just
the couple that you
need.
-
If you purchase the Avery 8161 stickyback
labels, you can print the Exhibit ID labels for all of your
exhibits
on these
labels making
it easier to attach them to the Exhibits.
-
We have
created a separate Teacher Information form so that
your personal information no longer
appears
on all of the individual exhibit
entry forms. This protects your privacy
and means you now only have to sign this one Teacher Information
form instead of all of the exhibit
entry forms.
Here are some suggestions for making entering large quantities of
Exhibits a little easier.
-
Don’t
try and enter all of your exhibits in one sitting. Break them
up into smaller groups and enter a few
at a time.
-
Don’t print the entry form & labels
after each entry. Wait until you are done entering all of your
exhibits
and then you
can print all of your entry forms and labels at once
to save time.
-
Purchase Avery stickyback 8161 labels and print
all
your Exhibit ID labels at once.
-
Take your class to
the school library and have them each type in their own
entry. First, make sure
you haven’t filled in any
personal information in the User Preferences because
the students will be able to see that information.
Then you, the Teacher, will
need to Log in to the computers for them. But once
you are logged in they can enter their exhibit themselves.
Make sure you change
your password afterwards so a student can’t
log in and tamper with your entries. When everyone
is finished,
Log In and review the
entries to make sure they were entered correctly.
