Students grades K-12 are invited to enter an Art exhibit
into the Mastodon Fair Fair for a chance to win ribbons,
prizes and scholarships. There are some additional special
competitions that students
can enter as
well. Grades K-8 are divided and judged by grade
level.
Grades 9-12 are divided and judged by the following categories: Painting,
Drawing, Photography, 3-D Art, Digital Art (now including video shorts!), and Animation Art.
All Art entries must abide by the Mastodon Fair
General Rules, Art Safety and Display
Regulations, and Art Rules & Guidelines.
Please be aware that these have been updated and it is recommended you review them
for changes that may affect you. We also suggest you review the Judging Criteria to
learn more about how points are awarded.
Any art project that is about energy or sustainability will be eligible to win an IPod for BOTH the student and sponsoring adult. 9th - 12th graders would ALSO be eligible for the $2,000+ trip to New York in June to compete in the
Genius Art & Science Olympiad.
How to choose a subject:
1. Go with your passions - create what you love.
2. If you've been to the Fair before, think of things you DIDN'T
see - Be creative!
